1. Disinfect*

Lemon essential oil makes a great natural cleaner, and it smells amazing! Add to vinegar and water for an extra punch.

2. Detox*

Lemon essential oil is great for detoxing. Diffuse in the kitchen while you’re cooking, or apply topically with a carrier oil.

3. Clean that dirty microwave*

Put some water, a few drops of lemon essential oil, and a tablespoon or so of vinegar to a bowl. Microwave for five minutes and let sit, then remove the bowl and wipe down your microwave. All that gunk should come off easily!

4. Spruce up your garbage can*

The next time you take out your trash, put a few drops of lemon essential oil in the bottom of your trash can, and in the bottom of the new bag. It’ll make everything smell a whole lot nicer.

Lemon essential oil kills the bacteria that hides in your wooden cutting boards. In a spray bottle, create a simple mixture with vinegar and a few drops of lemon essential oil, a natural antiseptic.

9. Polish stainless steel appliances*

Lemon essential oil makes a great stainless steel appliance cleaner! Use a few drops on a cloth to shine up your appliances, or add a bit of olive oil to create a really nice shine.
