Using Essential Oils In Your Daily Routine

Using Essential Oils In Your Daily Routine

Using Essential Oils In Your Daily RoutineYou may be similar to a lot of people, and like the concept of using essential oils.

Yet, actually using them in your daily routine is quite another story. It seems like many are unsure how to incorporate them.

Opposite to being a challenge to dispose of products you’re already familiar with, using essential oils in your daily routine is really quite simple.

Showering:

Try the No Poo shampoo method! Using a baking soda wash and an apple cider vinegar rinse, you can eliminate those nasty chemicals found in drugstore shampoos and conditioners. So, for luxuriously strong, healthy hair, we recommend adding 5 drops of rosemary essential oil into our apple cider vinegar rinse.*

Facewash:

Add a drop of tea tree oil to a teaspoon or so of coconut oil. Rub this mixture on your face, and let it sit. Take a warm (not so hot to burn!) washcloth and place over face. As a result, this will steam open your pores. Then rub face in a circular motion to get rid of any excess oil which will leave your skin feeling soft and lovely. Yet, do not scrub. Avoid if you have broken or damaged skin.*

Perfume:

Use your favorite essential oil(s) as a natural perfume! We have plenty of wonderful DIY natural perfume recipes on our blog.

Toothpaste:

We like these essential oils for teeth, and have three fantastic DIY mouthwash recipes for you to try out. Remember to rinse and spit (do not swallow mouthwash).

Keep Kids Focused:

If you have kids, you know how hyperactive and unfocused they can get, especially in school! Because of this, we recommend using our Focus Essential Oil Roll On.* Apply a bit to the back of their necks or bottoms of their feet before heading to school each day!

Diffuse:

Use a diffuser to disperse essential oils throughout the day. Whether you’re tired, feeling a cold coming on, or just plain stressed out, we have the essential oil for that!* Alternate the oils to change up your mood and to avoid developing sensitivities.

Bedtime:

Finally, cater this to however you’re feeling. Maybe take a detox bath with lemon and lavender essential oils, adding a bit of Epsom salt.* Or, if you’re feeling a cold coming on, try some eucalyptus globulus in your bath.* Furthermore, we also love to spray Sweet Dreams Essential Oil Spray over the bed before climbing in for the night!
