Description

Fennel is most commonly found in Japan, India, Mediterranean, Russia, Romania, and Northern Europe. Ancient Greeks and Romans used fennel for weight loss and to gain a sense of courage. The Hindus and Chinese utilized the oil as an anti-venom for snakes and scorpions. During Emperor Charlemagne's reign, fennel herbs were grown in imperial gardens. Even today, it is used in China and on farms to promote lactation in animals.
