DIY Facial Toner Spray's Using Essential Oils*Making a DIY facial toner with essential oils can be a natural and effective way to nourish and care for your skin. The benefits of using a facial toner include:

  • Balancing pH: Facial toners help balance the pH of your skin, which is important for maintaining healthy skin function.*
  • Cleansing: Toners can help remove excess dirt, oil, and makeup residue from your skin, leaving it clean and refreshed.*
  • Tightening and toning: Some essential oils, such as tea tree, lavender, and geranium, have astringent properties that can help tighten and tone the skin. This can minimize the appearance of pores and give the skin a smoother, more refined look.*
  • Hydration: Facial toners often contain hydrating ingredients like aloe vera or glycerin, which help to moisturize the skin and improve its overall hydration levels.*

Please note that essential oils should be used with caution and proper dilution. It’s important to perform a patch test and consult a dermatologist before incorporating them into your skincare routine, especially if you have sensitive skin or any underlying skin conditions.*

To make a DIY facial toner with essential oils, you can start with a base such as witch hazel, rose water, or aloe vera gel. Dilute a few drops of your chosen essential oils in the base and mix well. However, it’s important to research and choose essential oils suitable for your skin type and any specific skin concerns you may have.*

Always perform a patch test before applying the toner to your face and be cautious if you have sensitive skin. Additionally, if you have any underlying skin conditions or allergies, it’s advisable to consult with a dermatologist before incorporating essential oils into your skincare routine.*

How to Make a DIY Facial Toner with Essential Oils*

Here’s a simple recipe for making a DIY facial toner with essential oils:

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup witch hazel
  • 1/4 cup distilled water
  • 5-10 drops of a suitable essential oil from above for your skin type
  • 4 oz misting sprayer

Instructions:

  • Combine the witch hazel and distilled water in a 4 oz misting sprayer.
  • Add 5-10 drops of your chosen essential oil(s) to the bottle.
  • Shake the bottle well before each use to ensure the ingredients are thoroughly mixed.
  • To use, simply spritz the toner onto your face after cleansing, and before moisturizing.

You may adjust the recipe by using different essential oils or changing the ratio of witch hazel to distilled water to suit your skin type and preferences. Additionally, it’s important to store the toner in a cool, dark place and use within a few weeks to avoid the risk of bacterial growth.*
