Holy Anointing Oil

Presented in Exodus 30:23-24, the blend’s recipe uses the measuring unit of shekels. Due to the fact that 500 shekels (the amount called for in some of the oils) equals 12.5 pounds, we’ve adjusted the amounts of the oils significantly for this blend.

Recipe for the Holy Anointing Oil Blend

• Myrrh essential oil – 10 drops
• Cassia essential oil – 10 drops
• Cinnamon essential oil – 5 drops
• Calamus essential oil – 5 drops
• Extra virgin olive oil (or other oil for diluting, such as sweet almond)

In the Bible, this blend was used for cleaning and disinfecting areas where animal sacrifices were held. The blend was also used for cleansing the spirit of skin, and was put on unleavened bread. The oils were used topically and internally, and they are highly anti-infectious, making them great for other uses as well.*

Holy Incense

Presented in Exodus 30:34-35, this recipe makes a blend that is multipurpose and handy to keep around the house.

• Stacte (Myrrh essential oil)
• Onycha (Benzoin essential oil)
• Galbanum essential oil
• Frankincense essential oil
