DIY Holiday-Scented Essential Oil Recipes for Around the House

From the fresh scent of fir trees to the spicy aroma of cinnamon & peppermint, holiday scents are an important part of the season. Holiday-scented essential oils give you a natural way to turn your home into a winter wonderland!

Holiday-Scented Essential Oil Recipes

Holiday-Scented Linen Spray

Mix together one cup distilled water with 10 drops peppermint essential oil and 5 drops clove bud essential oil. Put this mixture in a spray bottle and spray it on your bed linens before bedtime to help you sleep better.

 

Winter Diffuser Recipe

Combine two cups distilled water with 20 drops fir needle or scots pine essential oil and 10 drops nutmeg essential oil in a diffuser or humidifier for a fresh holiday scent throughout your home.

Holiday-Scented Diffuser Blend Recipe

Add the following essential oil drops to an empty 0.5 fl oz (15 ml) glass gottle with dropper to create a blend. 

Roll the bottle gently to blend the essential oils.  Add 5 to 10 drops of the blend to your diffuser and sit back and bask in the relaxing holiday aromas.  Design your own label to add to this diffuser blend to make a great aromatherapy gift for your book club members, teachers or family & friends.

• 10 drops tangerine essential oil
• 10 drops fir needle essential oil
• 4 drops clove bud essential oil
• 4 drops cinnamon bark essential oil

Christmas Tree Aroma Spray

• 4-ounce fine-mist spray bottle
• 2 ounces distilled water.
• 1.5 ounces Everclear or other grain alcohol
• 50 drops fir needle essential oil
• 20 drops juniper berry essential oil
• 5 drops clove bud essential oil
• 5 drops orange or tangerine essential oil
• 1–2 drops cinnamon essential oil (optional)

Christmas Tree Aroma Spray is another great natural aromatherapy gift for the holidays.

You can use any number of essential oils for room sprays—try mixing our Citrus Essential Oil Blend with distilled water and Everclear in a fine-mist spray bottle for an uplifting citrus scent that’s perfect for the holidays!

Foaming Peppermint & Eucalyptus Soap

• 50 drops eucalyptus globus essential oil
• 30 drops peppermint essential oil
• 6.5 ozs castile soap
• 1 fl oz jojoba carrier oil
• 1 8 oz Clear Plastic Foaming Soap Dispensers Pump-Bottle 
  

Add the castile soap to your foaming soap bottle dispenser, then the joboba carrier oil then your essential oils.  Add the top, shake well and enjoy!!!
