Essential oils for sinus issues listed below are helpful for temporary relief.* Sinusitis is a bacterial infection or inflammation of one or more of the sinus passages located in the bones surrounding the eyes and nose. It could be caused by a cold, flu, tonsillitis, allergies or poor mouth hygiene. The symptoms include nasal congestion, nosebleed, fatigue, headache, ear pain, pain around the eyes, a mild fever or cough.
Steam Inhalation of Essential Oils for Sinusitis – Essential Oils for Sinus*
For temporary relief of sinus pain, use steam inhalation with the following essential oils added:
- 2 drops rosemary essential oil
- 2 drops peppermint essential oil
- 1 drop eucalyptus essential oil
DIY Massage Oil for Sinusitis – Essential Oils for Sinus*
After the inhalation, mix together with 10 ml of a carrier oil and add the following essential oils:
- 2 drops eucalyptus globulus essential oil
- 2 drops peppermint essential oil
- 3 drops rosemary essential oil
- 3 drops rose geranium essential oil
Massage the oil around the nose, in front and behind the ears, forehead, cheekbones, nose and the neck.
