Citrus sinensis is a middle-sized evergreen tree, covered with bark of a greenish-brown color, with auxiliary spines on the branches. The leaves are alternate, ovate-oblong, acute, shining green, the stalk more or less winged. The blood orange has streaks of red in the fruit, and when squeezed, the juice is often reddish.

Oranges have been linked to aiding issues of depression, anxiety, constipation, nervous conditions, and muscular spasms.* This oil is known to be a tonic, sedative, and antiseptic as well.

Orange oil can be used as a skin moisturizer. Simply mix a few drops of essential oil with your favorite moisturizer or coconut oil and evenly rub on the body.

  • It can also be used to support a cold and other flu like symptoms. Simply pour a few drops of orange essential oil into steaming hot water and inhale for 15 minutes.*
  • It can also be used to reinvigorate the skin and reduces tension and anxiety. Simply apply three-4 drops inside a warm bubble bath and soak for 30 minutes.

Blends well with Lavender, Lemon, Clary Sage, Myrrh, Nutmeg, and Clove Bud essential oils.
