How It May Support You
Botanical Hair & Scalp combines essential oils traditionally used to stimulate scalp circulation, support hair follicle strength, and help prevent hair shedding. Carefully diluted and massaged into the scalp, this blend supports a nourishing environment for hair health and renewal.*
🧪 Scientific Overview
Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia)
Lavender essential oil is included in clinical aromatherapy blends that showed significantly improved hair regrowth in alopecia areata patients, with a blend containing lavender, rosemary, thyme, and cedarwood outperforming carrier oil alone.¹
Lavender’s reported anti-inflammatory and soothing effects support scalp health and follicular wellness.
Red Thyme (Thymus vulgaris)
Thyme essential oil, rich in thymol and carvacrol, is known for its antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties. In the same clinical trial, thyme was part of the essential oil blend resulting in significant hair regrowth versus placebo in alopecia areata.¹
Cedarwood (Cedrus atlantica / Cedarwood type oils)
Cedarwood oil has been traditionally used to support scalp circulation and follicle stimulation. It was included in the randomized controlled trials that yielded clinically significant regrowth in patients with alopecia areata.¹
Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis)
A 2015 clinical trial comparing rosemary oil to 2% minoxidil found that rosemary treatment led to similar increases in hair count after six months, with fewer reports of scalp itch.¹
Rosemary’s antioxidant and anti-inflammatory compounds may help enhance microcapillary perfusion around hair follicles and support a healthy scalp environment.²
Synergy Across Ingredients
In a randomized, double-blind, placebo‑controlled trial of patients with alopecia areata, massaged application of a blend containing red thyme, rosemary, lavender, and cedarwood oils in carrier oil produced significantly greater hair regrowth (44% of participants showed regrowth) compared to carrier oil alone (15%).¹ This supports the effectiveness of combining these oils for enhanced circulation, follicular stimulation, and scalp health.
